We look forward to a successful school year inshAllah.

HomeworkEvery week, students are expected to review specific pages from their books for 10-15 minutes each day. This is the only homework. A list of which pages are to be practiced will be emailed to parents each week and posted on the class website. Practice every day for students is key - without it they will fall behind, especially in a big class like this one. We encourage you to take the time to sit down with your child and discuss what they are learning about and reinforce that learning at home.

The exact homework will be sent out in an email and also posted on this site under 'homework' every week.

By the end of the school year, students are expected to know the following concepts:
    • Fatha, Damma, Kasra
    • Read and write three letter words with vowels
    • Use of alif, waw, and ya as long vowels
    • Sukun
    • Vowel combinations with sukun
    • Repeating letters, tashdeed
    • General reading and writing practice
    • Arabic numbers, 1 through 10
Parent Communication: We would love to get to know more about your child and anything we can do to help him or her have a meaningful year. Please feel free at anytime to discuss any questions or concerns you may have regarding your child's progress, either in person or by email.

Absence: Please inform us if your child misses class due to illness, vacation, etc. This way we can keep your child from falling behind in the class by reviewing any material they have missed.

Allergies: We plan to reward the students with special treats for their hard work. Any treats served will be halal. If your child has any specific allergies, or dietary restrictions, please inform us as soon as possible.
